Welcome to the Vegetarian Society of DC!
|The Vegetarian Society of the District of Columbia (VSDC) promotes the benefits of vegetarianism through educational, community-building, and social activities throughout the DC metro area. We welcome people wherever they are on the path to an all-plant (vegan) diet.
The spectacular, annual DC VegFest at Yards Park across from Nationals Park will take place on Saturday, October 3, from 11 am to 6 pm - rain or shine. Founded by the Vegetarian Society of DC in 1997 and hosted by our wonderful friends at Compassion Over Killing, this FREE festival highlights the many benefits and joys of choosing veganism. Join the fun!
The Vegetarian Society of DC is excited to revitalize its Cooking Classes!
The classes are completely vegan and at low cost, with a further discount for VSDC members. VSDC will include food demonstrations of three simple, creative, and healthy dishes, a Q&A, a short segment on good nutrition, food sampling of the prepared items, and time to mingle and socialize.
See calendar on our Meetup page for upcoming classes.
VSDC events are open to all ― members and non-members, vegetarians, vegans, future vegetarians, casual vegetarians, and all others ― but we
encourage you to join us to
support vegetarian living in the DC area.
VSDC members receive our
award-winning quarterly newsletter, VSDC News, and receive valuable discounts
at many area restaurants and other businesses
through our VSDC
GreenRewards® Discount Program.
