The Vegetarian
Society of the District of Columbia (VSDC)
promotes the benefits of vegetarianism
through educational and social activities and events throughout
the Washington DC metro area, which includes DC, MD, and VA.
VSDC events are open to all ― members and non-members, vegetarians, vegans, future vegetarians, casual vegetarians, and all others ― but we
encourage you to join us to
support vegetarian living in the Washington
region.
VSDC members receive our
award-winning quarterly newsletter, VSDC News, and receive valuable discounts
at many area restaurants and other businesses
through our VSDC GreenRewards Discount Program. A special welcome to our newest business partners,
Healthy Landscaping (customized fruit
gardens),
VeryVegelicious (vegan meal planning and coaching), and
Loving Hut
(all vegan restaurant in Falls Church).
If
you are looking for someone to speak about the benefits of vegetarianism
at an event, consider
our Speakers' Bureau.
VSDC is
a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is governed by an all-volunteer
elected Board of Directors. Additional
volunteers perform much of the work of VSDC. Donations are gladly accepted.
