The Vegetarian Society of DC is incorporated as a nonprofit organization under IRS code section 501(c)(3), so donations are tax-deductible.

We take checks directly; just mail them to us made out to the Vegetarian Society of the District of Columbia. Thank you!

Donations to VSDC are tax deductible because we are a nonprofit, charitable, educational organization that also prevents cruelty to animals. For more information, see IRS publication 526: Charitable Contributions. If you don't itemize deductions on your tax return, then tax deductibility does not benefit you.
