Join VSDC as we host an animal rights / vegan-themed film screening, discussion, and vegan potluck on Fri, December 30th, in Fairfax VA! This will be a great way to learn, discuss, and meet vegans and vegan-curious people at a VSDC member’s home. Bringing a non-vegan friend is encouraged.
This event will likely screen the 2020 film, Meat the Future (but depending on the interest of those who RSVP, other film options include Okja or Love and Bananas: An Elephant Story).
WHAT: An animal rights / vegan themed movie watch party in Fairfax VA. The home has a small home theater that can accommodate around 20 people. Socializing beforehand and discussion about the movie afterwards is planned.
FOOD: A small amount of food will be provided but people should bring vegan food or beverage items to share for a potluck (the recipe or full ingredients list should be printed out and displayed with the food or on the container). Guests should also bring a plate, cup, and utensils for your personal use as well as a serving utensil for your item.
WHO: All VSDC and/or meetup members are invited with capacity limited to 20 people.
WHEN: Friday, December 30th, starting at 6:30 pm and ending around 9:00 pm.
WHERE: The home is in Fairfax VA 22033. It is 8 miles from the closest metro at either Vienna or Reston (Uber or Lyft would be necessary). Plenty of free parking within a 3-minute walk of the home.
This is the 1st in what we plan to be a monthly event, typically Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons.
Please sign up early as slots are limited and we expect to fill up quickly.
