Please join VSDC for a veggie bike adventure weekend, riding from the DC area (Dickerson, MD) to Harper’s Ferry along the Potomac River, staying over Saturday night at Harper’s Ferry and returning on Sunday.
There are two possible bike routes for this ride-
**Trail Route:**

Part of the fun will be enjoying the food (e.g. Kelley Farm Kitchen), shops, and activities in Harper’s Ferry. We’ll start the ride at 11 am, arriving with plenty of time to see Harper’s Ferry and have an optional dinner at an all-vegan restaurant – Kelley Farm Kitchen.
The ride back will start at around 11 am on the following day (11/12/23).

There is currently availability for $120 for the night. The cancellation policy varies depending on how you book a room, so please make sure you have the freedom to cancel if the weather turns out to be bad that weekend.
***Please note – the pace will be about 10 MPH and bikes will need to be carried over a pedestrian bridge to cross the river into Harper’s Ferry.***

* Use of intoxicants such as alcohol, cigarettes and/or illegal substances is banned during this event.
* Practice safe biking habits, including:
* Wearing a bike helmet
* Keeping a safe distance between each other (bikes don’t have brake lights and tailgating can easily result in crashes)
* Avoid side by side riding unless the road has enough space.
* This event is for those who are fully vaccinated only. Also, please do not attend if you are sick or have been near someone who thinks they may have or have been exposed to COVID-19.
