Please join us for this Picnic in Rock Creek Park – it is an all-vegan event.
Understanding the importance of safety for everyone, please bring your own food, drinks, plates, cups, and utensils. Please recognize that some people may not feel comfortable sharing food. We will have picnic tables to sit and eat on. You can bring frisbees, balls, etc – to enjoy the outdoors too.
Since park rules do not allow us to attach ribbons, posters, or directional signs to any park object, either natural nor artificial – including balloons, **you will receive an email with the number of the Rock Creek Park Picnic area Friday August 20th after 5pm**. Note: you will need to be able to receive an email from VSDC with the picnic area number, so please make sure you have enabled messaging in your Meetup settings (go to Meetup > Settings > Email Updates > Turn On.
There will be no VSDC signs at the designated picnic area, but if your meetup account can receive emails, you will receive the number of the picnic area on Friday August 20th after 5pm. Also, the organizer(s) will have VSDC green tee shirts at the site the day of the event.
This event is for those who are fully vaccinated only. Also please do not attend if you are sick or have been near someone who thinks they may have or have been exposed to COVID-19. VSDC greatly appreciates your cooperation.
