Join VSDC for a magical day of animal visits with farm animals and wolves.
We will start the day at 9:30 am at the Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania, in Lititz, for a two-hour private small group tour to view the 50 wolves who make the Sanctuary home and to learn about gray wolf conservation and biology. During a private guided tour, the tour guides will lead us through the sanctuary to glimpse the hidden lives of wolves and introduce us to the unique personalities of the 50 rescues who call the sanctuary home.
From there, we will head to Root, an all-vegan restaurant at 223 West Walnut Street, in Lancaster, for lunch.
After that, we will go to the Lancaster Farm Sanctuary at 1871 Milton Grove Road in Mount Joy for a ninety-minute private small group walking tour to meet and learn more about the animal residents, including turkeys, goats, sheep, cows, chickens, pigs, ducks, and horses.
**Optional Dinner on Saturday, October 5, the Evening Before the Tour**
The night before, on October 5, we arranged a dinner at Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar at 1573 Fruitville Pike in Lancaster. This restaurant offers a dedicated vegan menu for those interested in traveling to PA on Saturday. While dining with the group, all orders must be vegan.
**Optional Overnight Accommodations Suggestions**
There are several inns nearby if you wish to stay Saturday evening before the tour day. Please arrange your overnight accommodations, but we offer these two options because they provide vegan breakfasts.

**Fees**
The $82 fee includes the cost of the two private tours. Meals and the optional overnight stay are not included. **Refunds will not be provided, but please notify us if you can’t attend so we can welcome others.** While we have booked the tours and the facilities are well regarded, we cannot take responsibility for the performance of the sanctuaries, restaurants, and inns.
**Tour Expectations**
**The tours are outdoors and will be held rain or shine.** The walking trails are made of natural rocks, grass, and dirt. Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather. Participants must be over age 12 and able to walk over rough terrain, walk up a brief steep slope, and stand for extended periods. Photographs are encouraged, but lenses must be no longer than 5 inches. Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not permitted.
**Transportation**
Please indicate in the comments section if you’d like to carpool or are willing to take a passenger. Of course, please use good sense when riding with people you don’t know and understand that VSDC cannot take responsibility for the behavior of or availability of carpool drivers.
