June 19th, also known as Juneteenth, is the celebration of the liberation of enslaved people in the Confederate states. This holiday is the perfect opportunity to educate each other on the inequalities that remain in our society, and share the importance of supporting black owned businesses.
VSDC will meet at Eastern Market to enjoy a vegan meal prepared by Zoe of Zoe’s Vegan Delight. Zoe’s Vegan Delight is a 100% vegan and black owned business that has menu items ranging from cheese steaks, to soul bowls, to falafel. No matter if you are a healthy vegan or junk food vegan, she has a meal that is perfect for you.
