*The Open House is 1 to 4 pm. VSDC and our meetup members will gather at 2 pm to meet one another, eat lunch together, and see the sanctuary – whatever people would like to do. We will gather to the right of the small gift shop structure. Look for Saurabh who will be wearing a Green VSDC t-shirt. Then we will decide what to do and/or where to hang out.*
**The [Poplar Spring](https://www.animalsanctuary.org/) Annual Open House and Fundraiser is free and set for Sunday, October 1, 2023 – 1 to 4 pm.** After a four year hiatus due to the pandemic, they are planning this event at the sanctuary once again. Join [VSDC](www.vsdc.org) and many hundreds of people as the Open House will feature a live band, catered food and drinks, balloons and face painting, and the opportunity to stroll around and visit the rescued animals. There will not be a silent auction this year. Again, No admission fee, but donations (of any amount) to Poplar Spring are very much appreciated.
Bring a chair, a water bottle, and anything else you need for this outdoor event.
