Please join the Veg Society of DC Book Club discussion of “March” by Geraldine Brooks.
Geraldine Brooks creates a story for the absent father in Louisa May Alcott’s classic, Little Women, who had gone off to war. To evoke him, Brooks turned to the journals and letters of Bronson Alcott, Louisa May’s real father — and a vegetarian advocate. March won the [2006 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction](https://www.pulitzer.org/winners/geraldine-brooks).
To participate you must read at least half the book—and RSVP at least two days before the meeting. (This is a Sunday afternoon meeting. The book club will return to Wednesday night meetings in March.)
The VSDC Book Club began meeting online in March 2020 (previously we met in vegetarian restaurants in DC or nearby Maryland or Virginia). People who RSVP yes will get the details to join the discussion (during the week before the meeting). The details will not be posted on meetup.
