UPDATE: according to Doc Waters, there are no “pick your own” apples available. We have a fire pit reserved and will be having vegan s’mores and enjoying cider and games!
This is the rescheduled meet up after Hurricane Ian rained out our original date.
The next meeting of VSDC’s Children’s meetup will be at Doc Waters Cidery for apple picking! The Orchard at Doc Waters Cidery, located outside of Germantown Maryland, is a pick-your-own orchard affiliated with a cidery. There are no farm animals, petting zoos, etc at this farm. The parents can enjoy a fresh cider, if desired. The cidery does have live entertainment and a food truck – the food offerings may not be vegan friendly, but the cidery does allow guests to bring their own food.
More information and the per person/weight pricing (approximately $10/person) is available here: https://www.docwaterscidery.com/pick-your-own/
This is an event for vegan, vegetarian or vegan/vegetarian curious families with children.
If you can no longer attend, please let us know by changing your RSVP so another family can attend.
