Are you vegan or vegan-aspiring? Do you have no one to serenade on Valentine’s Day? Then come join the Veg Society of DC’s singles group for a karaoke night!
We are getting a private room for karaoke at Wok and Roll for 2 hours – from 7 to 9 pm. You don’t *have* to sing if you join us, although it is encouraged! All attendees *do* have to RSVP and pay on Meetup in advance, as there is a fee for the private room and a maximum capacity limit.
Wok and Roll has a 21+ policy that we must follow for this event (no one under 21 years of age.)
Wok and Roll has separate entrances for the restaurant and for karaoke. Go in the karaoke entrance to the right of the restaurant entrance. Head straight up the stairs. You’ll go up two flights of stairs and see a sign for check in on the left. Ask the person at the bar where the large party room is. If you arrive before 7, you can hang out at the bar and wait. Please be on time.
Wok and Roll has a few vegan food options available if you would like to purchase food at the venue. There is no official plan for before or after karaoke, but there are a lot of options in the area for those who want to continue hanging out after the event (e.g. Hip City Veg, Rocket Bar).
PLEASE sign up early as we expect the demand to be high and we have limited space. If you cancel your RSVP on or before February 8, you can receive a refund. If you cancel your RSVP on February 9 or later, that will open up a spot for someone else to attend, but we will not be able to issue you a refund; the funds will be used to support VSDC’s mission.
**As a VSDC singles event, this event is for vegan and vegan-aspiring adults who do not currently have a romantic partner.** People of any sexual orientation may join as long as they are single. Anyone 21 or older is welcome. You do not need to be looking to date; you can just come socialize with other singles.
**Transportation**
The nearest Metro station is Gallery Place/Chinatown on the Red, Green, and Yellow lines. There is street parking, but it is scarce on a Friday night, and there is an event at Capital One Arena on the 14th. So public transportation will most likely be your best bet!
**VSDC: More Than A Meetup**
We are so glad to have you as part of The Veg Society of DC Vegan Meetup group, and we enjoy seeing you at our events. Did you know that [VSDC](https://vsdc.org/) is a nonprofit organization with membership benefits?
With VSDC membership, you will save money at area restaurants and businesses, attend VSDC member-only events, and, most importantly, support us as a clear and consistent voice for improving the lives of all beings through community building and education centered on the benefits of a vegan diet and lifestyle.
The VSDC membership fee is minimal, but the impact is significant! [Become a member of VSDC](https://vsdc.org/membership/).
**Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct**
When you sign up to attend, you automatically acknowledge [VSDC’s Liability Waiver](https://vsdc.org/activity-waiver/) and commit to follow the code of conduct found at [Policies – VSDC – Veg Society of DC](https://vsdc.org/policies/).
