The VSDC Singles Group is making a comeback! Looking to meet other veg singles? Join us for trivia night!
On Thursday, August 29th, we will meet at Hi-Lawn 6:30 pm so that we can introduce ourselves, chat a bit, and split up into teams before trivia starts at 7. If you would like to join the event but won’t be able to arrive before 7 pm, please email [singles@vsdc.org](mailto:singles@vsdc.org) and let us know.
When trivia ends at 9, Kathryn will lead anyone who wants ice cream to Van Leeuwen’s about a block away. You are also welcome to stay at Hi-Lawn and watch their screening of The Breakfast Club or head home (we know, it’s a work night!).
Hi-Lawn is located on the rooftop at Union Market. To get there, go to the southeast corner of the Union Market building, and you will see a “Rooftop” sign pointing toward the roof. (See photos below.) Enter through those doors and go all the way to the top of the stairs (or take the elevator to the highest floor). Look for Kathryn in a green VSDC shirt.
Hi-Lawn hosts trivia every Thursday night from 7 – 9 pm. There is a tent covering part of the rooftop, so trivia proceeds even if it rains.
This is not a food-focused event. Hi-Lawn has *very* limited vegan snack food items but lots of drink options (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for sale. If you are coming from work and need dinner, we recommend arriving early and grabbing something from Union Market below. (Food from Union Market cannot be brought up to Hi-Lawn, but there are lots of tables down there as well.) If you do buy food or drinks at Hi-Lawn, you will order on your own and pay Hi-Lawn directly. We ask that if you attend this event, you order only vegan food and beverages (nothing containing animal products).

The host will reserve tables for our group, so please update your RSVP if you can no longer make it. Registration will close Tuesday, August 27.
**Transportation**
Hi-Lawn is a short walk from the NoMa – Galludet U Metro stop on the Red Line. There is a parking lot at Union Market, but it tends to be crowded, so plan extra time if you will be looking for a parking spot.
